Welcome to the Circle of Change One World Empowerment Conference

The purpose of the ‘One World Empowerment Conference’ is to provide student leaders (Diversity Chairs, DEI Council Members, Multicultural Organizational Leaders, Student Government Members, Diversity Programming Members) who are responsible for the leading the development, training, implementation, and programming efforts that revolve around diversity, equity, and inclusion with a transformational training and development program that will empower them with the skills and resources needed to thrive and succeed with this important leadership responsibility within their campus communities.

During this two-day virtual leadership experience for students who are Diversity Chairs, DEI Council Members, Multicultural Organizational Leaders, Student Government Members, and Diversity Programming Members, student leaders will not only learn from incredible keynote speakers that engage in work around Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Leadership, but they will participate in customized leadership development sessions, interactive roundtable sessions with other students from across the country, and powerful panel sessions with top professionals from various organizations and campus communities who are responsible for leading initiatives around Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Intertwined with this transformational virtual experience for students Diversity Chairs, DEI Council Members, Multicultural Organizational Leaders, Student Government Members, and Diversity Programming Members will be scholarship giveaways, interactive games and prizes, a free digital workbook, a live DJ, and enormous fun for everyone that is involved.

ONE WORLD EMPOWERMENT CONFERENCE AGENDA


FRIDAY, AUGUST 5, 2022

Friday

9:00am – 10:30am

The opening session of the 2022 One World Empowerment Conference will not only consist of an electrifying and exciting welcome from our conference DJ and Emcee, but it will feature a dynamic, engaging, and inspirational keynote presentation focused on helping student leaders learn about a set of leadership skills that will enable them to lead diverse groups of people more effectively with an inclusive lens of leadership.

Friday

10:45am – 12:00pm

The first customized leadership development and strategic session will be led by a leadership coach that is focused on helping student leaders not only identify the greatest challenges facing their organizations or campus community around diversity, equity, and inclusion, but it will consist of helping them assess the challenges facing their organization or campus community around Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and develop a strategic action plan for impact in the next academic school year.

The goal of this sessions is for student leaders to learn the steps that must be taken to assess and develop a viable and transformational diversity strategic action plan based on the needs of their campus community around Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Lunch

12:00pm – 2:00pm

Friday

2:00pm – 3:30pm

The first panel session will consist of an interactive, engaging, and transformational conversation with highly successful professionals from top tier companies and organizations that have been effective at making a transformational impact around various Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives within their organizations and companies.

The goal of this sessions is for student leaders to learn from Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Seasoned Professionals within various areas of expertise that have been effective at making a positive impact within their organizations and companies.

Friday

3:30pm – 4:15pm

The second customized leadership development, strategic, and interactive session will be led by a leadership coach focused on helping student leaders reflect upon the information that as shared during the panel session and thinking about ways that they can integrate these lessons into their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategic action plans for the upcoming academic school year.

The goal of this sessions is for student leaders to reflect and collectively interact with others student leaders about ways they can implement the knowledge that has been delivered from the transformational panel session with highly successful Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Professionals from top tier companies and organizations.

Friday

04:30pm – 5:30pm

The closing session will consist of a powerful keynote speaker that will not only inspire and empower all the student leaders that our in attendance at the virtual leadership experience with incredible wisdom and knowledge about doing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion work within their area of expertise, but we will also be giving away a couple of scholarships as well for student leaders that are in attendance.

The opening session of the 2022 One World Empowerment Conference will not only consist of an electrifying and exciting welcome from our conference DJ and Emcee, but it will feature a dynamic, engaging, and inspirational keynote presentation from a Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion about the keys to thriving and succeeding as leader within your campus community as a leader of various Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiatives.

Saturday

10:45am – 12:00pm

The third customized leadership development, strategic, and interactive session will be a ‘think tank discussion’ led by a leadership coach focused on helping student leaders collectively develop viable solutions to a variety of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion challenges that many student leaders are facing on college campuses across the country.

The goal of this sessions is for student leaders to collectively share challenges and collectively develop solutions to some of their most challenging situations on difference campuses across the country as Diversity Chairs, DEI Council Members, Multicultural Organizational Leaders, Student Government Members, and Diversity Programming Members.

The second panel session will consist of an interactive, engaging, and transformational conversation with highly successful Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Professionals within Higher Education that have been effective at making a transformational impact around various Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives within their campus communities.

The goal of this sessions is for student leaders to learn from Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Seasoned Professionals within higher education that have been effective at making a positive impact within their campus communities.

Saturday

3:30pm – 4:15pm

The fourth customized leadership development, strategic, and interactive session will be led by a leadership coach focused on helping student leaders reflect upon the information that as shared during the panel session and thinking about ways that they can integrate these lessons into their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategic action plans for the upcoming academic school year.

Saturday

4:30pm – 5:30pm

The closing session will not only consist of a powerful keynote speaker that has made a major impact as a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Professional within their area of expertise, but this final session will consist of scholarships and a special celebration led by our conference DJ and Emcee.

The registration cost for each conference participant is $175.00

Conference registration includes access to all the keynote speakers, panel sessions, roundtable sessions, customized leadership breakout sessions, networking activities, reflection exercises, and other special events offered at the 2022 One World Empowerment Conference.

In addition to the virtual leadership experience, each conference participant will also receive a free digital workbook, access to all the recordings of each session after the virtual experience is complete, and a lifetime membership into the Circle of Change Alumni Leadership Family.
